Finnish Nanotechnology Cluster Programme

Newsletter December 2011
20.12.2011

Finnish Nanotechnology Cluster Programme is a nationwide network reaching more than 90% of Finnish nano- and microtechnologies and future material related activities. The mission is to foster the growth of Finnish nanotechnology based business, responsibly.

Season's Greetings from Finnish National Nanotechnology Cluster Programme,

Eeva Viinikka

Finnish nanotechnology spearheads today include topics with strong research activity and well established business, such as nanomaterials, nano enabled surfaces, photonics, aerosols, pharmacy and medical as well as ICT related technologies and MEMS. In addition, there are topics with high quality research to be commercialized, such as modeling and characterization, printed intelligence, nanocellulose and nanosafety. Finnish nanotechnology research has recently been mapped and published – the data includes not only core competences but also industries that could benefit from it. Welcome to download the report on our recently updated webpage and to have a look on Finnish Nanotechnology activities and stakeholders on www.nanobusiness.fi

Thank you for your cooperation in 2011 and wishing you all the best for year 2012!

Dr. Eeva Viinikka, Programme Director of National Nanotechnology Cluster Programme
